Explore the Old and Disused Railway Tracks of Cumbria using Google Earth Footage. The old and disused track beds of the county are still visible from the air. By capturing motion footage of the images from the fantastic 'Google Earth' software - it is possible to simulate 2D 'flying-along' the track beds at any height, angle and speed (pixelation dependant).
On the 'Fly Along the Track' page I will be adding all the dis-used lines in Cumbria at a decent quality for streaming down to your PC and playing on Windows Media Player.
If you have any suggestions get in touch via the email below - I will start by publishing a list of Tracks I know about or have researched from the other fanstastic Websites available on Cumbria Railways in general. My interest is from the air viewpoint as the network was certainly fantastic but sadly now 'hidden'.
